The Dow Chemical Company will increase list and off-list selling prices on select products within the Oxygenated Solvents portfolio, effective September 1, 2011.

Crackers Scheduled for Shutdown in the Fall:

  • Formosa's Point Comfort #2, TX Unit. Beginning September 1st for 40 days.
  • Exxon's Baton Rouge Unit. Beginning September 1st for 45 days.
  • Shell's Deer Park, TX Cracker. Beginning September 1st for 45 days.
  • Dow's St Charles, LA Unit. Beginning October 10th for 30 days.

Dow Announces Price Increase on Polyols

POLYOL PRICE ACTION

Dear Customer:

Effective May 1, 2011, or as soon thereafter as the applicable contract allows,
The Dow Chemical Company (“Dow”) will increase its price for all grades of
VORANOL™, VORALUX™, and SPECFLEX™ polyols by US$0.10/pound in the
United States. This price increase is in addition to the previously announced
US$0.05/pound price increase effective April 1, 2011.

All other contract terms and conditions remain in full force and effect, and orders
must comply with established monthly sales levels and contract commitments.
Your Dow sales representative will be contacting you in order to answer any
questions you might have and to review your sales plan volumes.

Dow appreciates your business, and we look forward to our continued
relationship.

Dipropylene Glycol LO+ (DPG LO+) US$0.07/lb
Dipropylene Glycol (DPG) US$0.07/lb
Tripropylene Glycol (TPG) US$0.07/lb
Tripropylene Glycol Acrylate Grade (TPG Ac) US$0.07/lb

Dow Announces Further TDI Increases

Dear Customer:

Effective May 1, 2011, or as soon thereafter as the applicable contract allows, The Dow Chemical Company (“Dow”) will increase its price for VORANATE™ TDI by USD $0.10/pound in the United States. This price increase is in addition 
to the previously announced $0.05/pound increase effective April 1, 2011.

All other contract terms and conditions remain in full force and effect and orders must comply with established monthly sales levels and contract commitments.  Your Dow sales representative will be contacting you in order to answer any questions you might have and to review your sales plan volumes.

Dow TEG Pricing To Change April 1st


Dow Chemical Company announced today it would increase pricing for TEG as follows:
Triethylene Glycol (TEG) up US$0.04/lb:
• US TEG Regular Grade List Price, effective April 1, 2011: US$1.04/lb
• US TEG High Purity Grade List Price, effective April 1, 2011: US$1.14/lb
Tetraethylene Glycol (Tetra EG) up US$0.04/lb:
• US Tetra EG Regular Grade List Price, effective April 1, 2011: US$1.40/lb
• US Tetra EG High Purity Grade List Price, effective April 1, 2011: US$1.50/lb

Aminoethylethanolamine (AEEA) $0.12/lb
Aminoethylpiperazine (AEP) $0.12/lb
Diethylenetriamine (DETA) $0.12/lb
Ethylenediamine (EDA) $0.12/lb
Heavy Polyamine X (HPA X) including blends using HPA X $0.12/lb
Piperazine 68% $0.12/lb
Triethylenetetramine (TETA) $0.12/lb
Tetraethylenepentamine (TEPA) $0.12/lb
